  3.     Thank you for bringing home to Americans the shocking toll
  4. taken by guns (NATION, July 17). The real tragedy is that
  5. although 464 people lost their lives to firearms from May 1
  6. through May 7, that week was really no different from any other
  7. in the U.S. It's time to demand action from our elected
  8. officials. Stronger gun laws will help. We cannot afford to wait
  9. another week.
